About College
Medical Laboratory Specialists are critical members of the health care team. They use their biomedical expertise and technical skills to provide essential information about the health and disease status of patients. For example, laboratory professionals identify pathogenic microbes, detect cancer cells, screen for diabetes, determine blood types and perform genetic testing.
Students in this major work closely with faculty members and engage in hands-on learning in the classroom, laboratory and clinical environment to develop critical thinking and technical skills. Students select a concentration in clinical laboratory science or public health laboratory science. All students complete a practicum at our premier regional clinical affiliates. Students also have the opportunity to apply to our accelerated master's degree program in their third year.

The college has a well-equipped library, which houses almost all major book and journals pertaining to Laboratory Science. Other than hardcopies, there is an internet section where students can avail the facility of online journals.
The examination cell includes a confidential area and a hall to write University Examination by UG and PG students as per the Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University rules and regulations.
The spacious lecture halls provide most conducive environment in the right ambience for dynamic and focused learning. Lecture rooms are air conditioned and are equipped with modern teaching tools and audio-visual aids.
Blood bank is to make sure that donated blood, or blood products, are safe before they are used in blood transfusions and other medical procedures.
Phlebotomy is a part of Medical Laboratory Technology. Medical Laboratory Technology deals with analyses of samples, diagnosis, equipments and tools.
Central Research Laboratory (CRL) was established at Rajas Medical Institutions campus by our honorable chairman Dr. Jacob Raja, with views to contribute multidisciplinary R&D activities

Microbiology Lab
A microbiology lab is a scientific sanctuary where tiny life forms are studied. Here, biologists explore bacteria, viruses, fungi, and their roles in health, ecology, and industry.
Hematology Lab
The Hematology Lab performs a wide variety of basic and advanced hematology testing on whole blood, serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluids and other body fluids.
Clinical Pathology
Clinical pathology lab is concerned with disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Clinical pathologists are healthcare providers with special training.
Bio Chemistry
Biochemistry lab is a dedicated laboratory space for researching and studying biochemistry equipped with durable lab furniture and equipment.
Blood Bank
Blood banking lab is to make sure that donated blood, or blood products, are safe before they are used in blood transfusions and other medical procedures.
Departments
The Anatomy and Physiology department introduces the structure and function of the human body. You will read about the cells, tissues and membranes that make up our bodies and how our major systems function to help us develop and stay healthy.
The Principles of Good Laboratory Practice are managerial quality control system covering the organizational process and the conditions under which non-clinical health and environmental studies are monitored, recorded and reported .
The Biochemistry department is pursuing research in almost all areas of modern biochemistry including proteomics, toxicology, molecular biology, microbiology, clinical biochemistry etc.
Department of Microbiology is a multidisciplinary unit consisting of Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, Serology, HIV Laboratory, Parasitology and Mycobacteriology making an all-round effort to provide newer diagnostic services for better patient care.
The Department of Clinical Hematology looks after and treats people with blood related disorders. These include blood cancers (Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma), disorders associated with low hemoglobin and other rare diseases.
TClinical pathology is a medical specialty that is concerned with the diagnosis of disease based on the laboratory analysis of bodily fluids, such as blood, urine, and tissue homogenates or extracts using the tools of many departments.
